Star challenge, day twenty-two: "eight-rayed" German star

The tutorial for this one is in German, but the text can be grabbed and run through Google translate. (The title of this star is in translation.) It is lengthy, but not overly difficult to follow. There is a surprise scissoring towards the end. I also liked how the flaps were referred to as "rabbit ears" which you can see in the first process photo, below.

About my December star challenge: In November I put together a Pinterest board of 25 tutorials for making paper stars and decided to turn it into a sort of advent challenge by crafting a star a day for the first 24 days of December, culminating in my own version of an advent calendar by Christmas day.
