Star challenge, day six: star lanterns

These are wonderful. They take a bit of time to assemble, but are worth the trouble.

The tutorial I used has a template for three sizes. The smallest had all five segments printable on one page, so I did that first as trial. I punched a few holes for the light to shine through.

For the large size one, I used hand-made paper.

I don't have the right size of hanging lamp fixture, so for now it functions great as a shade.

About my December star challenge: In November I put together a Pinterest board of 25 tutorials for making paper stars and decided to turn it into a sort of advent challenge by crafting a star a day for the first 24 days of December, culminating in my own version of an advent calendar by Christmas day.
